Comprehensive Review on Metallurgical Upgradation Processes of Nickel Sulfide Ores

With the vigorously growing demand of steel industry, corrosion resistance alloys, clean energy industries, and a variety engineered infrastructure or technology, high-grade nickel ores are being exhausted gradually in world. This review outlines metallurgical processes for production from various sulfide resources, particularly focusing on recent developments to identify potential trends technical requirements metallurgy. The main methods have been extensively reviewed extraction which maybe potentially applicable provide new ideas smelting technology innovation even other similar metals. include pyrometallurgical hydrometallurgy, containing smelting, leaching, purification. advantages disadvantages each typical process analyzed compared this review, special emphasis is put forth. Biological metallurgy highly selective recovery most promising method recommended future research development. Moreover, ion exchange offers useful purification nickel.
